The Farm Centre GSM Market in Kano has successfully concluded its election, ushering in a new leadership team that would supervise the affairs of the market.

The election, held on Wednesday at Nasarawa Local Government Secretariat, was closely monitored by Daily News 24, ensuring comprehensive coverage and real-time updates.

The newly elected officials are:
Chairman: Jamilu Bala Gama
Vice Chairman: Idris Ajagu
Secretary: Isayaku Musa Alasan Abdulfata
Assistant Secretary: Bashir Kwalli
Treasurer: Hassan Saminu
Public Relations Officer 1: Umar Hudu
Public Relations Officer 2: Abba Saad Ibrahim
Auditor General: Adamu Umar Muhammad
Financial Secretary: Alasan Bana
Assistant Financial Secretary: Tijuana Una Roja
Organizing Secretary: Umar Gwadabe
Welfare Officer: Lawan Alhaza

The election process was conducted without major disruptions, despite initial concerns regarding alleged fraudulent voter cards.

These concerns were promptly addressed, ensuring the integrity of the election remained intact.

The process was marked by its peaceful and efficient execution, with no incidents of violence or misplacement of ballot boxes.

It was also observed that security was a key focus, with extensive measures implemented by the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), and other security operatives.

Their presence was crucial in maintaining a secure environment, contributing to the smooth running of the election and reassuring both voters and election officials.

Recall that the Farm Centre GSM market was closed for business on Wednesday as the traders participated in the election.
