The announcement was confirmed in a statement by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi.
Danbappa explained, โThe deadline aligns with the 2025 Hajj Calendar issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which mandates all states to remit their intending pilgrimsโ details to the Commission on or before 7th January 2025.โ
He emphasized the critical importance of meeting this timeline to ensure a smooth and successful operation. Expressing concern over the low sales of Hajj seats, Danbappa urged local government officers to intensify efforts to meet their seat allocation targets.
He also called for innovative strategies to boost seat sales and ensure the state fulfills its obligations within the set timeframe.
Intending pilgrims have been advised to complete their payments by the January 1 deadline, as late submissions could result in exclusion from the 2025 Hajj exercise.
