The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Danbappa, has confirmed that the deposit for intending pilgrims from Kano for the 2025 Hajj is set at N8.4 million.

Danbappa made the announcement during a meeting with local government Hajj officers held in his office in Kano on Monday.

โ€œAs directed by NAHCON, the deposit for the 2025 Hajj has been fixed at N8.4 million only,โ€ Danbappa stated.

He explained that the board will begin collecting deposits immediately through bank drafts, which must be submitted to the Local Government Hajj Centre Officers. The collection will continue until a closing date is announced alongside the final Hajj fare.

Danbappa urged intending pilgrims to ensure timely payments in line with the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage. He also reminded pilgrims to submit eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and maintain a personal bank account for proper identification.

He further disclosed that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 4,356 seats to Kano, which will be distributed across the stateโ€™s 44 local government areas.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed for Almighty Allah to provide intending pilgrims with the means to make their payments without difficulties.

Lawan also urged local government Hajj officers to work diligently, both day and night, to ensure their allocated seats are secured and properly managed.
