Abdullahi Muhammad, popularly known as Ortega, a Kano Pillars Para-Soccer player, has died.
According to POLITICS NIGERIA, Late Muhammad was a para-soccer player who represented Nigeria in various international para-soccer tournaments.
Despite the lack of specifics, Muhammad was reportedly killed in an inferno on Sunday.
The late Muhammad captained the Kano Pillars ParaSoccer team.
Following Muhammad’s departure, condolence messages poured in on social media.
In related news, Evans Ogenyi, the newly-appointed head coach of Kano Pillars of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), has promised to return the club to winning ways.
Ogenyi was previously the manager of Warri Wolves in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
He has previously managed Ocean Boys and Lobi Stars.
Kano Pillars, four-time NPFL champions, will look to return to the Nigerian top flight quickly after a disappointing campaign last season.
