Former Kano Commissioner for Works and infrastructure, Engr Muaz Magaji on Monday raised alarm over the plot by the Kano state government to infringe his fundamental rights using the police apparatus.

Magaji whose controversial runs as Commissioner and Aide to Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at different intervals earned him summary dismissal from his position said “Moment ago, I have officially been invited to police SIB political unit, Kano on charges am waiting to hear!”

In what appeared like save our soul to his Facebook followers the embattled critic said “Kano state government have resorted to intimidation using state police apparatus “.

Magaji’s message reads “After failing to shut down my Facebook page, Kano State Government have resorted to intimidation using state police apparatus.”

He disclosed that “..Moment ago I have officially been invited to police SIB political unit, Kano on charges is waiting to hear!”

Responding to the emerging development, the police public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa claimed ignorance over the unfolding drama.

He, however, pleaded for time to enable him to conduct an investigation on the veracity or otherwise with the promise to get back to the press soon. (Independent)
