Kano state Executive Council has approved the renaming of the state History and Culture Bureau after it’s pioneer executive director, late Prof. Sule Bello.

The state commissioner for information and internal affairs, Malam Muhammad Garba disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council meeting held at the Council Chambers, Government House, Kano.

He said the decision was informed by the accomplishments of the late professor who transformed the bureau to reach the top echelon of it’s relevance.

Malam Garba pointed out that when he served, the late Prof. Created various relevant departments that formed the bases of the pre-requisite standardisation of the bureau, which competitively solidified it’s position at both state and national levels.

The commissioner added that the council has directed the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice to facilitate the amendment of the Edict establishing the bureau to reflect it’s renaming.
