Kano’s streets erupts today as supporters of President Bola Tinubu and protesters demanding an end to poor governance and hunger staged rival demonstrations.

The unusual convergence led to a significant occupation of key city areas, including the Government House Roundabout.

In a rare sight, the normally vibrant streets of Kano were markedly subdued as the city was overtaken by the protests. Hundreds of demonstrators transformed the urban landscape, creating a stark contrast to the city’s typical hustle and bustle.

The hunger protesters, largely made up of women and youth, carried placards and symbolic leaves to express their grievances. Their signs, featuring slogans such as “End Bad Governance,” “We Are Hungry,” and “Enough is Enough,” underscored their urgent demand for improved leadership and immediate relief.
