Kano Yoruba Community leader and the first chartered president of Rotary club of Bompai, Kano, Muri Jawando is dead.
The renowned philanthropist died aged 85.
According to a statement signed by Adebukola Jawando Esq, for the family of the deceased, note that the octogenarian died “in his sleep on Monday 17th May 2021, after a protracted illness.

The statement further stated that late Muri Jawando is a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors of London and fellow Nigeria Institute of Valuers.

Pa Jawando hails from the Jawando family in Ibadan.
He is survived by five children, his remains would be interred in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, family sources disclosed.
His contributions towards the development of the Yoruba Community in Kano earned him the title of Balogun.
