Katsina State House of Assembly has called on the state government to rehabilitate a feeder road linking four communities in the Kusada Local Government Area (LGA).

The assembly made the call on Wednesday during its plenary presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Tasi’u Maigari.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the call followed a motion presented by the member representing Kusada Constituency, Alhaji Ghali Garba.

According to Garba, the road linked to Dudunni, Jofalawa, Makadawa, and Tama is terrible and in need of attention.

“The condition of the road has pushed people of those communities who are mostly traders and farmers into serious hardship.

“The people find it difficult to convey their farm products or goods to various markets in their neighbouring communities, and also the cost of transportation had increased.

“The people that I am representing called my attention to seek for my intervention. And I found it necessary to present the motion before this honourable house.

“I am appealing to the house to call on the government to come to the aid of these people who are in serious need of assistance,” he added.

After a series of contributions, NAN reports that the lawmakers unanimously adopted the motion and called on the state government to intervene. (NAN)
