The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) says the company’s mega taskforce has uncovered 267 cases of bypass of meters by customers.

Head, Corporate Communications, KEDCO, Ibrahim Sani-Shawai, disclosed this in a statement issued Monday in Kano.

He said the unwholesome acts were discovered within just four days of commencement of inspection by the Task Force.

Sani-Shawai said the exercise would continue until perpetrators of these acts were brought to book in line with the laws of the land.

He appealed to community leaders and members of the public to report attempts to sabotage KEDCO through illegal connection, meter bypass and vandalism. (NAN)
