During her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live,” Keke Palmer revealed she is expecting her first child.
The “Nope” actor, 29, was in the middle of delivering her monologue on Saturday’s SNL stage to a live audience when she said it was past time she addressed rumors about her having a baby.
“People have been saying in my comments, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,'” she explained. “And I’d like to clear the air—I am!” As the audience applauded, Palmer proudly pulled apart her beige blazer top to reveal her baby bump.
She then joked about how aggravating it was to have true rumors about herself spread online. “I was trying really hard to keep it quiet because I have a lot going on. People keep approaching me and saying, ‘Congratulations!’ ‘Shh, can you please stop?’ I say. I’m hoping to get a liquor sponsorship. Let the check clear, and then we can finally get to the baby shower!'”
Palmer, on the other hand, appeared overjoyed to share her personal news: “This has been the biggest blessing and I am so excited.”
She is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Darius Daulton, according to Variety. On Saturday, Daulton appeared to share several behind-the-scenes photos from her SNL performance on his Instagram stories.
One of the photos showed Palmer sitting at a dining table, cradling her baby bump, with the words “2023” and a heart written on it.
The couple has been together for over a year, but they prefer to keep their relationship private. She first confirmed they were “Instagram Official” during an appearance on “The Tamron Hall Show” in November 2021, but later deleted all images of Daulton from her social media page, according to People Magazine.
Palmer’s representatives did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
