Ousmane Dembele is also closing in on a return after going under the knife again in the summer but Barca may have to wait until November before the Frenchman plays again.
The return of the injured stars will certainly offer Barca a big boost after miserable defeats to Atletico Madrid and Benfica and with key fixtures against Valencia, Dynamo Kiev, and Real Madrid to come.
Coach Ronald Koeman has already admitted his team need to win all three games which looks like a big ask, particularly given the way they have started the season.
