The National Working Committee (NWC) of Labour Party (LP) after its meeting on Friday announced the sack of the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Abayomi Arabambi, and the dissolution of the Ogun executives of the party.
Alhaji Umar Farouk, National Secretary, who read the communique to Journalists. as reported by Daily Trust, said the move became necessary due to allegations of anti party activities against the state Chapter and Arabambi.
He said after due deliberations at the meeting, the following resolution was adopted by the NWC that the acting National publicity secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, had been relieved of his office by the NWC having completed his appointment which was in acting capacity.
Farouk also said disciplinary Committee has been constituted to Investigate his (Abayomi) anti-party activities as a member of the party.
According to him, “Ogun State chairman and the Exco have been suspended. A Caretaker Executive will be appointed soon to take charge of the party’s activities in the state pending the recommendation of the Disciplinary committee to be set up to investigate their activities in office.”
