Rather than doing a jamboree celebration to mark his 50th birthday, Honourable Ishaku Ayuba Chawazah, lawmaker representing Chikun Constituency at the Kaduna state house of Assembly has associated himself with Internally Displaced persons(IDPs) accross three camps in Kaduna and also Orphans by distributing relief materials to them.

The gesture according to him, is to remind the IDPs that they are not left alone in their plight, and also ignite hope in the lives of the orphans.

The lawmaker who was at Kujama, Rido and Gonin-Gora Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in Kaduna State distributed bag of Rice and Indomie Noodles to bring smiles to the recipients.

It would be recalled that the IDPs camp in Kujama accommodates over 1,000 persons, and the Rido camp has about 3,000 persons, while the Goni-Gora camp is overstretched with over 7,OOO displaced persons, a situation which called for urgent attention from both Government and Non- Governmental organization.

Honourable Chawaza in his remarks, thanked Kaduna State Government for always coming to the aid of his constituency, while assuring the constituents of more support from the government.

The lawmaker who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) promised that his team will revisit them to alleviate their pains and sufferings.

Some of the IDPs who spoke with newsmen expressed joy and appreciation to the lawmaker, while calling on others to follow suit.
