It’s common knowledge that the months of Ramadan is a period that Muslims redouble efforts toward shunning any unlawful acts which displease God.

However, with the end of the Ramadan fast, how do faithful Muslims sustain the good habit during that period?

As it’s in the teaching of Islam, fasting in the month of Ramadan is observed from dusk to dawn and is a period full of moral practices by Muslims as enshrined in the Quran and Hadith of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him.

Islamic scholars prepared lectures, Tafsir, and other avenues meant for disseminating good moral conduct contain in the holy Quran purposely for people to behave well, to be rewarded by Almighty Allah.

Deepening girl-child education

How do people suppose to maintain the good teachings of Ramadan, Daily News 24 ask Chief Imam of Sahaba Juma’at mosque in Kundila Kano State, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Usman, in an interactive session express the need for people to continue with the lesson learnt during Ramadan for them to have a better life in the hereafter.

“Allah said in Quran Chapter two, verse 183, oh you believe fasting has been made, prescribe upon you the way it was made compulsory upon those that came before you so that you may learn good consciousness”.

“This is the underlined factor, the rationale behind it is to inculcate in the believers fear of God, simplicity, humility, and the like.

So it’s expected after Ramadan is no more, the teachings learnt and the things that we have gained during the Ramadan time should be activated without stopping.

So the expectation is that the teachings of this particular verse I quoted should be reflected in you, in me, in her, in us, not after Ramadan somebody goes back to drinking, going back to the women, lying cheating, skyrocketing, workers coming to the work lately and leaving before the time, this thing should be sent to the dustbin.

Because all this were satanic things”, Muhammad Bin Usman said.

Also, the scholar added that Ramadan is a month when faithful intensifying on good deeds such as generosity, recitation of Holy Quran, and giveaway from the bad act, hence sustenance is important.

“Ramadan comes and came to be a kind of cleansing alternative, it wouldn’t be better for a Muslim after Ramadan is no more to leave all the good teachings as if we’re waiting for the month to go and shaitan comes back and attack us again”, Chief Imam of Sahaba Juma’at Mosque.

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Usman added that it is clearly anybody who goes back to his normal habit, there is a tendency that his fasting is not accepted.

“So likely there’re chances that anybody who falls under this, his fasting is not accepted because the signed that your fasting is accepted, it will help you keep away from bad things you kept away from.

Take a good example of a chain smoker, had during Ramadan a good opportunity to leave it, because somebody who left it for so many hours without taking it, had a very good opportunity to leave it all.

Previously after an hour he’ll bring one and smoke it out, it’s anomalous to go back to it after having such training.

That is shows he’s not sincere, he did not hold Ramadan teachings.

Sheikh Muhammad Bin Usman in his words said anybody who follows through Ramadanic University should make sure to maintain the teachings.

“The way out is to maintain the attitude of feeding people, maintain your Nafila, good neighborhood, extra fasting, coming to prayer congregationally and all”, Bin Usman.

The cleric emphasized that the sustenance of lessons learnt in the month of Ramadan will improve the normal living of the people.
