A mammoth crowd of APC supporters in Gummi Local Government Area of the state on Thursday received Gov. Bello Matawalle’s campaign train for the 2023 general elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that campaign train under the leadership of the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari was also attended by another former Governor of the state, Alhaji Mahmud Shinkafi.

The event was attended by all former deputy governors, Ministers, Speakers and Deputy Speakers as well as all APC stakeholders.

Speaking at the occasion, Gov. Bello Matawalle commended the massive support and the large crowd of APC faithful for attending what he described as an indication of APC’s victory.

Matawalle appreciated APC stakeholders in Gummi LGA for their grassroots mobilisation for the APC.

He urged the people of the state to re-elect him for a second term, promising that more projects, policies and programmes were on the way for the even development of the state.

“Specifically on Gummi, LGA, more projects would be executed under APC administration if re-elected for second term.

“I am appealing to you to vote for APC candidates at all levels”, Matawalle urged.

The governor also promised to do his best to promote security, education and health sectors as well as the general economy of the state.

Earlier speaking, the Chairman of Matawalle’s second term campaign council, Yari commended people of Gummi LGA for their love and total support to APC.

Yari said that APC remained the strongest political party in the state as the opposition had never won elections in the state.

He urged the electorate to vote massively for Tinubu, Matawalle, Federal and State legislators in the Feb. 25 and March 11, 2023 elections.

Yari called on the APC stakeholders to continue to be united and work for the success of the party during the 2023 general elections.
