Manchester United have blocked midfielder Fred from leaving the club after turning down a bid from Galatasaray for the Brazil international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have joined Premier League side Fulham and teams from Saudi Arabia in the race for Fred.

But the Turkish club’s offer for Fred has been snubbed by Man United, who are holding out for a considerable fee for the player.

Fred can leave the Red Devils this summer following the arrival of Mason Mount from Chelsea earlier this month.

Fred, 30, joined Erik ten Hag’s side from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018.
