“This collaborative effort between the Federal Ministry of Education and Maslaha Homes Ltd, is a Public-Private-Partnership land-swap arrangement.
“The development of critical infrastructure at the center is not just a project; it is a pledge to provide every Nigerian with the opportunity to gain essential literacy and numeracy skills, improve their quality of life, and actively contribute to our nationโs development.
“The 13 key infrastructure projects that will soon be underway are designed to support this vision, creating a robust environment where literacy, adult education, and vocational training can flourish,” she said.
She said that the importance of mass literacy and adult education in driving socioeconomic change cannot be overstated.
Ahmad pointed out that education empowers individuals and communities, reduces poverty, improves health outcomes and promotes inclusive economic growth.
“For those who have not had the privilege of formal schooling, this centre provides a second chanceโa chance to learn, grow and build a future.
“This includes modern classrooms, training facilities, administrative buildings, ICT centers, and other vital infrastructure that will support skill acquisition, literacy programmes and community-based educational initiatives.
“As we mark this groundbreaking moment, let us look to the future with hope and commitment.
“Let us envision a Nigeria where education is accessible to all, where every citizen has the opportunity to learn and where partnerships like this continue to uplift our communities,” she said.

“We are poised to unlock the full potential of this centre by implementing 13 critical infrastructure projects, valued at over N4 billion.
“This development will not only enhance the capacity of the centre but also ensure it fulfills its original mandate as a regional hub for literacy and adult education,” he explained.
