Lionel Messi and Neymar were booed by Paris Saint-Germain fans during Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash against Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes.
PSG’s supporters expressed their anger with the two superstars following Wednesday night’s capitulation against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Kylian Mbappe, however, was cheered by PSG’s supporters when his name was read out before kick-off.
PSG were on course to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals when Mbappe put the French side 2-0 up on aggregate towards the end of the first half at the Bernabeu.
However, a 17-minute hat-trick from Karim Benzema in the second half turned the game on its head and sent the Spanish giants through to the quarters at PSG’s expense.
It’s a result that threatens to have ramifications on various members of the PSG squad and Mauricio Pochettino, who is not expected to be the club’s manager at the start of next season. (GMS)
