The National President of an Islamic Society, Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria(NASFAT), Mr Niyi Yusuf, said the society, in its determination to ameliorate the conditions of Widows will distribute the Sum of 15million Naira to about 254 widows across the Nation by the end of November.
He stated this at the Swearing of the Zonal Leadership of NASFAT, Kaduna Zone and the Funding raising to complete the NASFAT Islamic Complex, ‘Aseese’ situated along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
According to him, the society that has evolved in the last 26 years to become an Islamic Charity organization focuses on Health, Education, livelihood and Dawaah, underscoring the importance the society attached to the welfare of human culture.

“Today, we have several Hospitals and Primary Health Care centres. By providing education facilities. We have over 25 Primary Schools, 6 Secondary schools, and the Fountain University in Osogbo. We also focus on livelihood by providing a means of livelihood for our members, be it formal employment or self-employment. We conduct empowerment training programmes and gift monetary gifts to people.
In November, we will be distributing 15 million Naira to about 254 Widows nationwide as a way to alleviate the conditions of the widows”.
Mr Yusuf noted that it would help create a better society where Human Capital is improved, poverty is reduced, and people have a fear of Allah.
Speaking on the Multi-Million Naira Project of the NASFAT Islamic Complex to be situated at the Sagamu-Lagos expressway, he explained that it would provide a convenient Befitting venue for 26 million Muslims or 52 million Nigerians who ply the road to Worship, have access to medical facilities, access to library and ICT centre, as well a sanctuary place where they can relax.
“The NASFAT Islamic Center, Aseese, when we conceived it, we realize that the Lagos-Sagamu Expressway is the busiest way every year. Statistics indicate that we have over a 52million persons that ply that road every year. We assumed that half of us are Muslims, so half of those that ply that road are Muslims. We have 26 million persons that ply that road.”
“It is an access road to anything and everything that is coming from the south and going to the North, and it is available to 52 million passengers on an annual basis”, he said.
Speaking on the topic, ‘The Role of Leadership in Humanity, Islam Perspective’, the guest speaker of the Occasion, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami represented said, Leadership is significant to human society, saying no society achieve its set goals without good Leadership.
The Minister, who was represented by, Mallam Suleiman Muhammed, noted that for Leadership to be good, there are some attributes, success factors that are desired.
“A leader must have strong faith, a strong belief, a strong Iman in the existence of Allah(SWT), and strong faith in Islam, and in the prospect of Islam, this is very key. Without it, a leader can not drive the community to lead it to the desired goal.”
A leader must be knowledgeable, and he must be full of wisdom. He must be in search of knowledge throughout his Leadership because everything is based on knowledge. Without understanding, he won’t know the society or group is leading. , he won’t know what to do and when to what at what time.
He must be excellent in communication skills to communicate information to the people he is leading and be able to get feedback from them”, he explained.
Also, NASFAT Women Affair Secretary, Mrs Suwebat Bola Kupolati, said the role of women in Islam is vast, and the part of women in NASFAT is excellent.
She said, “when women are empowered, developed, they bring up their children very well, and when they bring up their children well, we know most of the problems we have from the youth are because parents cannot take care of their children. So it is important we develop, empower, educate them to increase their livelihood so that they can do their responsibilities in their various homes”, she said.
