Rev. Yakubu Pam, the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) has called on Nigerians to be united for the overall growth and development of the nation.
Pam gave the advice, while speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Jos, shortly after he paid condolence visit to the family of late Maj.-Gen. Dung Chong, the former Director of Military Intelligence.
The NCPC boss also called on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love and peaceful co-existence, adding that such move would entrench purposeful development.
“We have one God, same blood running in our veins and we are one people living in one indivisible nation.
“So, we must unite and learn to live together for the growth and development of this great nation.
“We can only get to where we want as a people if we put our differences aside and begin to tolerate each other
“We should not allow crisis merchants; the evil ones to continue to sow seed of discord and hatred in our minds,”he urged.
He also called on Nigerians to support the government and the security agencies to end all forms of insecurity in the country.
“We must join hands and support the government to fight insecurity, suggest better policies that will promote education, agriculture, economy and all that will make our nation better,” he called.
The executive secretary also condemned the recent destruction of crops on farmlands in some part of the Plateau.
Pam called on the security agencies to intensify efforts toward the safety of farmers and their farmlands to avert the looming food scarcity a cross the nation.
