The Director-General of NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu-Fikpo, disclosed this during the orientation held for the trainees in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Nuhu-Fikpo said that the participants were drawn from the three senatorial districts in the state.
He said that the participants would be given training on Community – Based skills to enable them start and run their business effectively.
Nuhu-Fikpo, represented by the State Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Danjuma-Machika, said that 20 trainees would be trained on the various demand- driven skills such as interior decoration, cosmetology, and beads making, among others.
“About 20 participants will be trained on various skills which include knitting, beads making, cosmetology, iron bending and GSM repairs.
“The skills chosen are those that are demand- driven and trending in the community where the training is taking place.
“The training is aimed at building capacity that would make them compete favourably,’’ he said.
Nuhu-Fikpo also urged them to obey the rules and regulations of their trainers and always be punctual at their various training centres.
He enjoined the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity the training had provided them, adding that it was meant to enhance their capabilities in making sound decisions in businesses.
A cross section of the participants interviewed thanked the Federal Government for the initiative, and pledged to make good use of the training.
