The League of Freedomites, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), on Sunday made a cash donation of N200,000, foodstuffs and medical equipment worth N800,000 to Destined Orphanage in Kardo.
Felix Adedokun, Grand Patron and President of the God’s Kingdom Sociey (GKS), which the NGO is under, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
According to Adedokun, visitation of orphanages is one of the rituals that GSK carries out every year in order to assist and bring succour to the less privileged in the Sociey.

He said that the church held its 36th Annual National Assembly (ANA) in the Federal Capital on Saturday and used the opportunity to visit the orphanage.
He said several bags of rice, beans, tubers of yams and some medical equipment worth thousands of Naira were some of the items the church gave to the orphanage.
“Last year when the GSK held its 35th ANA in Sapele, Delta state, the church visited some orphanages where it also made some donations.
“Since the advent of GSK, in 1934, which is 90 years in this 2024; the church had given scholarships to over ten million students of both tertiary and secondary schools.”
He assured that the church would always carry out this humanitarian activity as it is one of the ways it could help the needy and less privileged in the Sociey.
On the economic hardships ravaging the world, Adedokun advised that people should hope and focus on the God Almighty, saying He is only one that can be relied on.
He enjoined all Nigerians to be of good behaviour in order to attract God’s favour, saying without good character, blessings of God can be possible to anybody.
He expressed satisfaction for the church’s 2024 36th annual assembly held in the federal capital, saying that the 2025 assembly would take place in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
