Anjola Femi, a Nigerian man, has gained widespread admiration after returning $14,000 (approximately N21 million) that was mistakenly sent to him by a foreign crypto trader.
The incident unfolded on social media where Femi, participating in a cryptocurrency giveaway organized by Rafael Alvi, received an accidental transfer of $14,000 instead of the intended $100 worth of Solana cryptocurrency.
Rather than keeping the substantial sum, Femi promptly informed Alvi of the error and returned the excess funds. Alvi publicly praised Femi on social media for his honesty, sparking a wave of positive reactions and commendations for Femi’s integrity.

Femi explained his decision, stating, “I cannot keep the money because it is not mine. I am a child of God and believe in doing the right thing.” He emphasized that the values of honesty and integrity, instilled in him by his faith and upbringing, guided his actions.
“My name is Anjola Femi, known as Lucky on Twitter. I won $100 worth of Solana from Rafael Alvi, but he mistakenly sent $14k. I returned the excess as requested because righteousness matters,” Femi recounted.
Femi, a 2017 graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, in Chemical Engineering, credited his moral compass to teachings from Apostle Chris Onofua, underscoring the importance of integrity in personal and societal conduct.

Police gift N30,000 to constable who returned missing dollars to owner
Recall that Daily News 24 reported how the Police Command in Katsina State on June 25, 2022, honoured a constable, Nura Mande, who found and returned missing 800 dollars to its owner in Katsina.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah, said that the constable was presented with a letter of commendation and N30,000 by the Commissioner of Police, Idris Dabban.
He recalled that Mande was on official duty at the state Pilgrims Welfare Board Hajj camp when he found the 800 dollars belonging to a female intending pilgrim, Hadiza Usman.
