The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has commenced a two-day training on Quality Management System for members of staff of Kaduna International Airport.
Mr Ishaku Ibrahim, NIMET Head of Quality Management, said at the opening of the training on Monday in Kaduna that 54 members of staff from various units were selected for the training.

According to him, the participants will be enlightened on ISO 9001 2015 provisions on quality management of international airports.
Ibrahim said that similar training was conducted for airports staff in Port Harcourt , Kano, Abuja and Lagos to improve service delivery in line with global standards.
He disclosed that another level of training would be implemented at NiMet calibration laboratories.
The official said that the overall aim of the training was to make airports in Nigeria more visible and conform with the requirements of the World Meteorological Organisation.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that similar training is being conducted for airport staff in Yola, Katsina, Enugu, Asaba and Ibadan.
