The Nigerian Institute of Translation and Interpreters (NITI) has constituted its Kano state executive council.
Abubakar Muhammad Musa (Saraki), the council’s Publicity Secretary, disclosed this in a state issued to Daily News 24 in Kano.
The exercise was conducted on Saturday at the end of the International Translation Day celebration organised by the National body, under the National President Prof. Hafizu Miko Yakasai.

The statement noted that the council members were unanimously elected.
Those elected include Mustapha Adamu Indabawa as chairman, Muhammad Sagir Abdullahi, 1st Vice-Chairman, Dr Halima Umar Sani, 2nd Vice-chairman, Yagana Ali, 3rd Vice-Chairman.
Others include Abubakar Muhammad Musa (Saraki), Publicity Secretary, Nadiya Muftahu Garba, Treasurer, Dr Isa Muhammad Inuwa, Secretary-General and Ibrahim Is’haq Ɗan’uwa Rano, Assistant Secretary-General.
Former Vice-Chancellor Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano, Prof. Mustapha Ahmad Isa, Ex-Officio and the Registrar Kano University of Technology, Wudil Dr Aminu Bello Muhammad, Ex-Officio.
Meanwhile, the NITI Kano State Council had hinted at forming two special committees that will organise International Translation Day at the State Council level and handle training for members of NITI at the State Council level.
The statement noted that the International Translation Day committee has Malam Nura Ahmad of Arewa24 as Chairman, with Badsha Mukhtar and Patience Abo as members.
