The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Ltd has confirmed that search and rescue efforts are still ongoing to recover additional bodies following a tragic helicopter crash in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

The helicopter, operated by East Winds Aviation, was reported to have crashed, claiming the lives of three individuals.

In a press statement, Olufemi Soneye, NNPCโ€™s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, noted, โ€œBeyond the three bodies found in the ill-fated helicopter, no other bodies have been recovered.โ€ He also emphasized that the company is collaborating with relevant authorities to intensify the search for the remaining individuals.

โ€œOur hearts and prayers are with family members of this unfortunate incident,โ€ Soneye expressed, extending condolences to the families affected by the crash.
