The ruling NNPP in Kano State has released the list of candidates for the upcoming local government elections, scheduled for next month.

The list was released on Tuesday evening, and it is seen as a step to energize both the party’s supporters and the candidates who secured the nominations.
The local government election has been officially scheduled to take place on October 26.
Previously, the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) imposed a fee of N10 million for those running for local government chairman and N5 million for councillor positions. However, a federal court in Abuja has suspended these fees after the APP and ADP parties filed a lawsuit against them.
