A notorious thug Abba Burakita, who has been terrorizing residents of Kano state has died days after he was arrested leading a phone-snatching raid.
Daily News 24 reports that Mr Buraktia reportedly died at Murtala Specialist Hospital in Kano city, where he was receiving treatment for injuries he had sustained during arrest.

Spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the hoodlums death to newsmen on Monday.
Recall that Burakita, who was a vicious criminal gang leader terrorizing Dorayi area of  Kano city, was caught on Friday along race course road close to the Kano Government House.
It was learnt that Mr Burakita and his gang members waylaid women and seized their mobile phones while also stealing motorcycles from other residents.
It was gathered that the hoodlums used the opportunity of a Polo tournament that was held at the race course to perpetrate the crime.
Witnesses said some brave residents decided to confront the thugs and overpower them, inflicting fractures on Mr Burakita’s legs.
The hoodlum was subsequently arrested by police who were immediately called to the scene.
