The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has arrested two suspected criminals believed to be part of a notorious phone-snatching syndicate.
The suspects, Abdullahi Ibrahim, 22, and Faisal Iliyasu, 20, were apprehended near Mohiba Filling Station along the Eastern Bypass in Hotoro.

The arrest was made on October 30, 2024, at around 1:00 am by officers attached to Area F, Area Command. The suspects, hailing from Tinshama and Challawa in Nassarawa Ungoggo local government areas, were caught with a locally made gun, a jet knife, and a cutlass.
According to the NSCDC, the suspects have been terrorizing residents in the Hadejia Road and Dakata areas of Kano State, engaging in activities such as armed robbery, phone snatching, and drug dealing. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend two accomplices who remain at large.
Investigations are underway, and the NSCDC has assured the public that legal actions will be taken against the suspects.
