The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano Command, has expressed readiness to strengthen existing partnership with the Nigerian Navy to improve security in the state.

The state NSCDC Commandant, Mr Idris Adamu-Zakari saic this when the Commandant of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa, Cdr. Usman Mainasara-Bugaje, paid him a courtesy visit.

“The peace and security being enjoyed in Kano, apart from citizens’ prayers, is because of the synergy existing among all the security agencies in the state.

“I’m so happy to receive you and the NSCDC is delighted to tap a lot from the college’s resources,” he added.

Earlier, Mainasara-Bugaje said he was at the NSCDC to seek for more collaboration in combating crime and criminality in the state.

“We need to do more in sharing information and intelligence.

“The Navy College has been in existence for over 30 years and was recently relocated to Kano from Abia State.

“The college functions as a monotechnic, training Navy personnel and is awarding National Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Technology Management.

“It has an accreditation with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE),” he added.
