The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has sadly confirmed the demise of a corps member at the orientation camp in Ede, Osun State.

The deceased corps member, known as Bright, passed away in his sleep a few days ago.

Funmi Okundaye, the Public Relations Officer of NYSC in Osun State, acknowledged the incident to the Punch but refrained from providing further details about the circumstances surrounding his death.

“All we can say is that a corps member passed away in his sleep. That was exactly what happened; there is nothing else to add. Nothing to add or remove from it,” Okundaye stated.

The orientation course for the 2023 batch ‘B’ stream 1 began on July 12 nationwide and is scheduled to conclude on August 1.
