President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shuaibu at the Edo State Government in Benin on Wednesday.
The visit is Gusau’s first interface with the No. 1 and 2 citizens of the State after emerging victorious as the NFF President during an elective congress in Benin in September.
An excited Gusau commended the Edo State Government for hosting a successful and peaceful NFF elective congress while promising the Nigeria Football Federation under his stewardship will continue to collaborate with the state for the growth and development of the game across the states especially at grassroot level.
Gusau further described Edo as a football loving state while adding the state has always been supportive whenever the NFF knocks at its doors.
In his remark, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki congratulated Alh. Gusau whom he believes his experience in sports administration will lead Nigeria Football to a greater height.
Also speaking, the Deputy Governor of the state, Comrade Philip Shuaibu thanked Gusau for the visit as he congratulated him while assuring the NFF supremo the Edo State Government will continue support the NFF whenever there is need.
Comrade Shuaibu further added Gusau’s emergence as the NFF President is no surprise to him due to his exemplary leadership qualities .
He also called on the NFF President to use his administrative experience and skills in order to tinker Nigeria Football to the pinnacle of success.
