Young goalkeeper Karl Hein has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.
The 19-year-old, who made his non-competitive first-team debut in July in the pre-season match at Hibernian, was also a member of the first-team match day squad six times in the Europa League last season.
Hein is a full Estonia international and has now made 10 appearances for his country. He made his full international debut in September 2020 in a Nations League match against Georgia and most recently, was in fine form to keep a clean sheet against Wales earlier this month in the 0-0 World Cup qualifier draw in Cardiff.
According to Arsenal, “the goalkeeper joined us on a scholarship contract from Estonian club Nomme United in July 2018, where he conceded just 12 goals in 20 appearances at under-17 level and also featured five times for the first team at the age of just 16. He signed professional terms with us in July 2019.
