Let me start by welcoming His Excellency, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, from the holy trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to perform the lesser Hajj; A rare opportunity God gives to chosen ones.

One must note with happiness that the trip has both personal and state benefits. It helps you as to pray for peace to reign in Kano and Nigeria, and have ample time to consult Almighty Allah to help you anoint your successor in the forth coming election , if I guess correctly.

The relentless optimist in me sees that all your prayers have been answered, hence I write this letter to help guide you through, especially on who your successor.

Sir, as you are aware of the recent resolutions on youths engagement in politics, by the Northern States Governor’s Forum, and you are signatory to it, in fact the first governor going by that resolution to appoint a Senior Special Asisitant on youth engagements , we find it easier to channel our hopes of anointing a young man to continue the good jobs you have been offering to the good people of Kano.

His Excellency, we learn from you, but Murtala Sulen Garo, former kano State Commissioner for local Government is better, as a young energetic man, we are rest assured that he will fit in your shoes.

We are all aware that, in 2019 election, he single handedly saved us from the traps of the opposition party and bring back our stolen mandate. Yes we are all indebted to him, for this single, but hard earning applause.

If you are to go for a survey, about 70% of the grass roots politicians, especially those from localities benefited from his generosity, and almost all those ranking officers working in a state, were helped to reach far better heights. going by this, Garo will be acceptable to all party members.

If am to remind you Sir, the first political lesson for anointing a successor, is to look for the one hates by the opposition, not the one they so much like. The one the hates most, is one they are afraid of in the polls.

Yes, you have vested him with the leadership of one of the largest ministry, and he scored distinction, if you trust him with the position of the governor we will all Vote him enmass, and Kano will be great again, and we the younger ones, will rewrite your name, and this time in more of Diamond, than a Gold.
