Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, are participating in the 11th International Leaders Forum (ILF) held alongside the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, Illinois, from August 19-22.

Hosted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) every four years since 1984, the ILF brings together senior politicians and policymakers from around the globe to engage with key aspects of the American democratic process.

Peter Obi, who was invited along with two other prominent Nigerians and about 200 distinguished political leaders from over 91 countries, expressed his gratitude on X.

He highlighted that the forum provides a platform for leaders from Africaโ€™s emerging democracies to exchange experiences and insights.

The DNC, which began on August 19, has featured notable speeches from former U.S. President Barack Obama, former Senator Hillary Clinton, and former First Lady Michelle Obama, who have supported Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
