Peter Okoye, one half of the renowned music duo P-Square, has spoken out about the ongoing conflict with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.
In a statement on X on Monday, Peter denied accusations that he reported Paul to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Instead, he revealed that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company allegedly owned by their elder brother, Jude Okoye, and his wife, Ifeoma.

Peter clarified, โBefore I tell you the whole story, here is what I need you all to understand. Itโs always surprising to me when people say, โP-Square is always bringing their family matters into the public eye.โ Let me clarify this. P-Square is not just a family โ itโs a public brand, but Peter, Paul, Jude, Anita, Ifeoma, Lola, and the rest of our family members are family, but P-Square is an entity that belongs to the public as much as it does belong to us.”
He continued, “Our fans have played a significant role in our success, so they have the right to know whatโs happening with their beloved brand P-Square. Thatโs why itโs understandable when certain aspects of our lives are shared publicly.”
Addressing the allegations against him, Peter stated, โNow, letโs get straight to the point. I want to make it clear that I never reported my twin brother Paul to the EFCC. I know many of you were disappointed when Paul accused me of doing so.”
Peter went on to explain that the management company, Northside Entertainment, which he co-owns with Paul and Jude, was at the center of his concerns. He discovered another company, Northside Music, which he claimed was secretly established by Jude and his wife. This revelation led to suspicions of missing royalties and financial misconduct.
โStill in shock, I knew I had to talk to Paul about it. I approached him multiple times โ at least four different times โ asking if he knew anything about this secret company and the whereabouts of some of P-Squareโs royalties. Each time I met with him, he denied knowing anything about it,” Peter said.
Peter challenged Paul to provide any evidence of a petition he allegedly filed against him, reiterating that his legal team’s focus was solely on Jude and Ifeoma, the directors of Northside Music. He accused Paul of lying in his recent interview about the EFCC incident.
โThe truth is, this was something that actually happened to Jude,โ Peter asserted, adding that he was shocked by Paul’s public statements.
Peter also disclosed that millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira had been diverted from Northside Entertainment into the secret company’s account. Despite attempts to resolve the matter privately with Paul and Jude, Peter said he was left with no choice but to involve the authorities.
โJude was then detained after being questioned. He came clean and admitted he had been diverting millions of dollars of our money to this secret company that he and his wife were the directors of. All of Judeโs bank accounts were immediately frozen,โ Peter concluded.
The feud between the Okoye brothers, which has been ongoing since their last breakup, has seen both pursuing solo careers as Rudeboy and Mr. P.
