The passing of petroleum industry bill (PIB) has come at the time when Nigerians patiently awaited it vanguard hits the town of Birnin Kebbi, the kebbi state capital to get the reactions of Nigerians on the passed bill.
One Mustapha Bello was particularly happy that petroleum equalition fund (PEF) was included which points to the fact that subsidiary will remain relevant in the distribution and payments of petroleum subsidies.
According to him subsidy removal is the greatest human catastrophe that will happen to Nigeria.
“I must particularly thank our law makers for thier wise thought iam convinced now they have masses at heart.” He said.
Danjuma Abubakar from Birnin Kebbi was elated because the bill when assented by president Buhari will bring much revenue to the country and boost the nation’s industrial drive.
He added that PEF inclusion in the bill shows the subsidy regime will be sustained to stabilize pump price and maintains its affordability by common Nigerians, he advised the federal government to fish out ghost filling stations collecting subsidies.
Another petroleum market who dont want to be mentioned said petroleum subsidy is so far the only thing common Nigerians are enjoying  so the NNPC should througly check filling stations not loading PMS but collects monies in the name of subsidy.
He added that it will be unfair to suffer others because of some few others, he as well lauded the senate for what he described as landmark achievements though long overdue he posited.
As reactions continue to trail the passage of the bill Nigerians are optimistic that such bill will assist the country to wriggle out of her economic quagmires and strengthen the role of both NNPC and PEF in the nation’s oil sector.
