The Kano State Police Command has arrested at least 22 youths following a deadly clash in Dorayi area of Kano city on Wednesday.
According to reports, residents of the area had been caught in the clashes between the rival criminal gangs, which resulted injuries and destruction of properties.
A video clip shows some youths sustaining serious injuries during the incident.
However, another video clip shared by the spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, shows about 30 persons suspected to be thugs that have been terrorizing Dorayi, a neighbourhood in Gwale local government area of the state.

Mr Kiyawa, in the clip revealed plans by the state’s Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel to commission a new office of the Anti-Daba unit, which specializes in tackling activities of criminal thugs.
It could be recalled that the Kano police command had previously engaged and reformed suspected thugs and even recruited 50 of them who had claimed to renounce their criminal activities.
Also, the police had organized friendly football matches with the suspected thugs as one of the ways to tackle criminal activities.
