The report, which caused panic among residents, prompted an immediate response from the Plateau State Police Commissioner, CP Emmanuel Adesina. According to the statement, CP Adesina directed the Area Commander Metro and the Officer in Charge of the Commandโ€™s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit to mobilize a team of bomb technicians to the scene.

Upon arrival, the team, along with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of โ€œCโ€ Division, assessed the situation and took appropriate action. The area was quickly cordoned off, and the EOD team conducted a thorough examination. The inspection revealed that the hole was safe and free of any explosive devices.

CP Adesina, along with members of his management team, visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment. He praised the residents for their vigilance and cooperation with the police during the operation.

“The people of Plateau State have been commendable in their security consciousness,” CP Adesina said. “I urge the public to continue their normal activities without fear, as the area is now confirmed to be safe, with no threat to lives or property.”

The Commissioner also encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities to the police through the following emergency numbers: 07059473022, 08038907662, 08075391844, and 0905387229.
