Kaduna State Police command has foiled a kidnapping attempt in zaria city, and neutralized one of the bandits involved in the attempt.
The Police Public relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammed Jalige stated this in a press statement made available to journalists in Kaduna.
The statement stated that, “On 27th September, 2021, the Kaduna Police Command received a distress call through the Divisional Police officer Zaria City that some Bandits in large number invaded the residence of one Muhammed Sani M of Nagoyi Quarters in their desperate attempt to kidnap occupant of the house.”

The statement further stated that, “on getting the information, team of Police men alongside members of vigilant services led by the DPO rushed to area and engaged the bandits in a gun duel as a result one Bandit was neutralized while others took to their heels with bullet wounds abandoning their mission.
“The corpse has been deposited at ABU Teaching Hospital Shika.
Similarly, the command has also arrested a notorious kidnapper identified as Hussaini Damina of Damina Village.
The Kidnapper have been on the Command’s wanted list.
Thirteen rustled Cows were recovered from him.
Also arrested are: Dahiru Usman M (Driver), Jibrin Idris of Toro LGA Bauchi State,Musa Isiya, and Anas Dahiru.
The PPRO stated that the command, “on 26th September, 2021 acted on credible intelligence to the fact an eighteen seater bus was conveying suspected rustled cows heading to yet to be identify destination along Barde – Keffi road.
“On received of the intel, operatives of the command attached to Kafanchan Division swung into action and succeeded in intercepting the said vehicle.”
“In the course of investigation the suspects confessed to the crime while the owner of the Cows was identified as one Dahiru Bala m of uddah Village and the cattle were handed over to him accordingly”.
