Police identify 13 key suspects in Kano thuggery surge

The Kano State Police Command has identified 13 individuals as the primary instigators behind the recent rise in thuggery activities in parts of Kano Metropolis.

Daily News 24 reports that these individuals are believed to be responsible for the resurgence of street crime, including phone snatching and violent assaults on residents in Dala, Gwale, and Kano Municipal Local Government Areas.

Kano State Police Spokesman, Abdullahi Kiyawa in a statement, said the suspects are:

  1. Halipa Here
  2. Sheye Injiniya
  3. Yusuf Ilu
  4. Walidi Auwalu Kapinta
  5. Tijjani Rattagu
  6. Agiri Balarabe
  7. Dan Kasuwa
  8. Dan Makare
  9. Nasuru Madadi
  10. Hali Pan Pan
  11. Jamilu Piye
  12. Saiyid Zawai
  13. Inyasi

Police Action:
In response to the surge in criminal activities, the Kano State Police Command has deployed additional security personnel to affected areas to prevent further lawlessness.

An in-depth, intelligence-led investigation led to the identification of these key suspects, who are now being sought for arrest.

The police command has urged these individuals to report to Bompai State Police Headquarters immediately or face arrest and legal action.
