Warsaw police maintain suitable order around Russia’s embassy, although access difficulties sometimes occur due to numerous rallies, Russian Ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreev, said on Tuesday.

“Certain difficulties of access to the embassy occur due to rather numerous rallies which occur regularly.

“If not every day, then once in two days but it’s a temporary situation.

“ In general, the Police serve around the embassy under current order and maintain a more or less normal regime of our work,’’ Andreev said.

The situation is generally under control, according to the ambassador.

On Feb. 24, Russia launched a military operation to “denazify” Ukraine, responding to calls from the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk for help.

The Russian Defence Ministry said the special operation was targeting Ukrainian military infrastructure only and that the civilian population was not in danger. (Xinhua/NAN)
