It was pomp and pageantry on Saturday in Kano as thousands of Ebira Community residents in Kano witnessed the commissioning of a multi-million Naira edifice.
The two-storey building located in the heart of Naibawa Quarters along the strategic Kano – Zaria dual carriageway has office accommodation for the community leader, President, Ebira People’s Association, conference hall, and guest houses.
The multipurpose building that was commissioned by Dan’Iya of Ebiraland, Alhaji Abdulmalik Isa was part of activities marking the 25 years anniversary of Ohinoyi of Ebira community, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulmalik Atta.

Aliyu Abdulmalik Atta was installed as the first Ohinoyi of the Ebira community in Kano in August 1995 by the Emir of Kano.
In a speech at the ceremony, Alhaji Abdulmalik Isa, the Dan’Iya of Ebiraland expressed joy that the building would serve as a befitting unity hub to the ethnic nationality renowned for the highest inter-tribal marriages with the host community.
Dan’Iya of Ebiraland, therefore, enjoined the community to imbibe the culture of maintenance to preserve the architectural masterpiece.
Similarly, the Ohinoyi of Ebira community in Kano, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulmalik has tasked parents to keep children from drug abuse.
Aliyu Abdulmalik who spoke during the celebration of 25 years anniversary of Ohinoyiship in Kano said “I want to seize this opportunity to enjoin all parents to pay closer attention to their children in order to check their tendency to go into drug abuse and other social vices currently disturbing our society.
The Ebira leader also expressed happiness with the good relationship among the host communities in the states that have brought about peaceful coexistence which has even led to the creation of Onoba (Mai Unguwa) in Kano that was approved by the Kano Emirate Council.
