The Zamfara state Primary Healthcare Board has awarded Her Excellency, Hajiya Aisha Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun), as an ambassador of sexual and reproductive health in line with her tremendous commitment to the maternal and child care health program which is one of her topmost priorities looking at the high induce in maternal mortality in the state
In her welcome address during the presentation of the award, Hajiya fati musa, thanks the officials of the primary healthcare board for the well-deserved award to her Excellency, adding that the award signifies and recognizes the much works and interventions of her Excellency in the healthcare system of the state.
Presenting the award to her Excellency, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Ismail Tukur Gusau says it’s a great pleasure to be given this award of excellence, Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle in-line with her endless effort to the women of the state.
“This is in line with the First Lady’s maternal and child care health program which is one of her topmost priorities looking at the high induce in maternal mortality for the state
“Its a recognition of her support and encouragement noticed by the Board in the health sector especially at primary level.
“We noticed her Excellency’s tremendous contributions through Mama Kit Project which has change the lives of women in the state”, Executive Secretary Said.
According to him, the project help women in the state especially in the rural communities to be visiting the hospitals frequently.
“We noticed that the project has reduced the rate of maternal death during and after pregnancy.
“We appreciate the effort of her Excellency’s for this wounderful effort.
“On behalf of the entire staff of the board, we register our support to various programmes and activities by her Excellency to promote health care delivery in the state.
“We are ready to partner with the office of the First Lady to enhance primary health care delivery in the state”, Dr Isma’il said.
The State Commissioner of Health, Alhaji Yahaya kanoma described the award as time and welcome development.
Kanoma described her the First Lady as hard working woman working towards changing the lives of Zamfara people especially women.
He said it’s part of the state government’s effort to improve lives of Women in the state, the state government has embarked on building of Women and Children Hospitals at the headquarters of the 14 LGAs in the state.
Earlier, the representative of Commissioner of Women Affairs Perm Sec Halima Bungudu said ‘It’s a timely, worth giving gesture to receive this award. Now Zamfara people are enjoying the dividend of democracy under this administration. May Allah help our first lady.”
Halima Bungudu said described the First Lady as dedicated mother.
“This award is timely and given to the right personality who cures the development of the humanity.
The Special Adviser to Governor Bello Matawalle on Investment, Dr Rabi Ibrahim Shinkafi said the award is well deserved.
“I appreciate the ZPHCB for honouring Her Excellency based on her valuable programmes and good strategies that make her different from others.
Receiving the award, the First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bello Muhammad expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Board and State Ministry of Health for recognizing her work.
“I appreciate the effort of My team for timely delivery of alll our programmes and activities.
“I am also extending my great to appreciations to my beloved husband for standing for me.
“I must appreciate him for his contentious support to my office in an effort to make sure the people of Zamfara state get the best in there lives”, Hajiya Aisha Bello-Matawalle said.
The First Lady commended Commissioner, and entire staff of the state Ministry of Health, Managements of Health Parastatals in the state for their support to my office.
