Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) has recorded another epoch event with the official inauguration of Rano Air.
Rano Air is owned by an independent oil marketer, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano popularly known as AA Rano.

The airline is licensed by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and mandated to provide the Scheduled Passenger services, Cargo and Charter Flight operations.
The Airline acquired 5 numbers of EMB 145 Aircrafts, with its Operation base in Abuja, and its intended to operate into different location in Nigeria and beyond but they are starting with 8 stations: Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Kaduna, Yola and Asaba.
Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje while flagging off flight at the domestic wing of the airport congratulates Rano for the development and wealthy Nigerians emulate AA Rano by creating jobs through his various investments in the country.
Dignitaries at the launching includes the Emir of Rano Amb Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa Autan Bawo 111
Sarkin Shanun Lafian Bare-bari Alhaji Turaki Gamji Kano state Deputy Governor, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna and others.
