Hajiya Halima Adamu, the mother of the renowned Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Rarara, has been abducted.

Halima was taken from her residence in Kahutu village, Danja local government area of Katsina State, Daily trust reveals

A source in Kahutu village detailed the incident, explaining that the bandits struck around 1 am on Friday. “The bandits came on foot and silently because they did not fire a single shot during the operation that lasted for just a few minutes,” the source revealed. “The woman did not resist when the bandits requested her to go along with them.”

Despite encountering other individuals in the house, the assailants specifically targeted Rarara’s mother, leaving the others behind.

The source emphasized the community’s helplessness during the ordeal “No attempt to confront the bandits while leaving the house because they were armed with guns.”

It appears the bandits employed a strategic approach by keeping their motorcycles at a distance and trekking to the village. This tactic is believed to have helped them avoid early detection and facilitated their escape. “They probably kept their motorcycles far away and then trekked to the village,” the source speculated.

The abduction of Hajiya Halima Adamu has left the Kahutu community in distress. She is a well-respected figure in the village, and her son, Rarara, is known for his generosity and contributions to local development.

The community is hopeful for her safe return. “We are praying that the woman will return to us in good condition because she is very helpful to us in this village. Her son, Rarara, has brought so many developments to this village for our wellbeing,” said the source.

Attempts to reach Rarara for comments have been unsuccessful, as repeated calls to his phone went unanswered.
