The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the alleged theft of N20 billion belonging to state governments.

The House, following the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by Ibrahim Kawu, resolved to set up an ad hoc committee to investigate the allegation.

Moving the motion, Mr Kawu said the money was diverted by staff of NNPC under the guise of “consultation fees”.

He warned that the House must act to checkmate the diversion.
