The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has detained Abdul, the son of former Clerk of the National Assembly Sani Omolori, in connection with the suspected murder of Sadiq, the son of Kano South Senator Kabir Gaya.
Sadiq died in Abuja on Wednesday.
Despite the fact that the cause of his death was unknown to the public, his family announced his untimely passing.

According to the source, the son of the former Clerk of the National Assembly, who is a friend of the deceased, was arrested by the police in connection to the alleged crime.
He also stated that the suspect Abdul, together with two other friends, had reported Sadiq’s death to the family, who transported the corpse to the hospital, alleging that he drowned in a pool in a hotel.
A detailed examination of the deceased body by family members revealed some injuries on his body and his head bloated with blood gushing out of his lips, raising the possibility that he was murdered.
Worried, the family reported the incident to the police in order for justice to be served.
The family felt that he had been attacked by Abdul and his friends leading to his death.
