He, however, urged the people not to despair and miss the essence and meaning of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities and the divine succor it brings.
“The significance of the Sallah celebration has a huge impact on entrenching peace, unity and progress of Nigeria as well as the nation’s efforts in surmounting its security challenges,” the statement added.
Ganduje also stressed the need for deep reflection on the lessons of the celebration which include sacrifice, love, peace and harmony.
He observed that with the nation gearing up for intense political activities, there was the need for political actors to play according to the rules of the game.
The governor stated that government would not condone any act that can possibly result in loss of life and property.
Ganduje canvassed for peace which he described as the harbinger of development to any society, and further called on the people to take cognizance of the symbolic significance of the festival and imbibe the lessons of obedience and sacrifice as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
While felicitating with the Muslim Ummah, the governor hope for peaceful celebration.
